Creamy Tomato/Carrot Soup

The soup I made was tasty enough to me to post…LOL:

Juiced tommie carrots

I juiced 2 large beefsteak tomatoes and 2 large carrots.  The result was about 550ml of liquid yummy.  Put in pot on medium-low heat, added a pinch of salt, cayenne pepper (I was out of black), curry powder (to taste), 1-2 drops of Liquid Smoke and 2-3 generous teaspoons of coconut milk, a couple of handfuls of the pulp from the juiced tomatoes/carrots and a bit of ginger pulp I had on hand.  I let it come to just the beginnings of a gentle boil then removed from heat and let cool.  I pulsed some in my Magic Bullet and reheated….mmmm…just what the gloomy weather yesterday called for.

Today’s Breakfast Smoothie

My breakfast smoothie is thick and creamy and oh so delish!


I got the idea from Lisa Montgomery’s book Liquid Health on page 73  I just switched it up a bit cause that’s what I do. 🙂

1 Green apple

1/2 large banana (It was a big one)

1 handful spinach

a pinch of cinnamon

1/4 cup of coconut milk

3/4 cup of water

Add to blender/Magic bullet and give it a whirl.
