Navy City Gate

Located in the Red Army Ferry Community and by the side of the entrance of the Apeng River, Navy City Gate faces the Apeng River, neighbors the Politics and Law Community in the east and borders Walk Dam of the ancient town in the north. Navy City Gate is arched with wooden attic at the upper part and masonry base at the bottom part. In the ancient time, the gate was the only passageway for merchants to get into the town. Thus, it was the first fortress of Ran Headman (an appointed national minority hereditary headman in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties).
